Founder
Rachana Chandaria - Mamania is the founder of The Mango Tree Preschool. Born and raised in London, and having moved to Mumbai in 2005, The Mango Tree Preschool opened its doors in 2011 to a total of 20 children.
Her ambition has always been to set up her own school which would reflect a blended curriculum of Play Way and Montessori, with a strong emphasis on creativity.
Having two children of her own, she understands the huge challenges parents face in everyday life. Trying to make the right choices and give children the best possible future is quite a task! She understands the importance and value of finding a preschool that proves a warm, loving, fun and explorative environment for a child and a sense of security and peace of mind for the parent.
For many parents, the prospect of leaving your child at preschool can be daunting. This is why at The Mango Tree we give you and your child as much time as you need and ultimately become part of our family. From experience, I know that having a supportive school that works in partnership with parents is an enormous help.
The Mango Tree is designed to feel as much like home as possible. Our teachers are a dedicated team who are passionate about what they do, their main aim being to give each child confidence and a love of learning.
Rachana has the privilege of being entrusted with your most precious possession. In return, she hopes to give your child the most priceless gift of all, to love being at The Mango Tree as much as she loves having them here.
Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on the intrinsic belief that children learn the best through meaningful play and it is our duty to foster a child’s innate curiosity about the world around them. Our blended curriculum creates a rich and stimulating learning environment that fosters a love for learning, nurtures creativity and supports the holistic development of each child, taking inspiration from the philosophies of Playway and Montessori.
The vision at The Mango Tree Preschool has grown organically and ever changing over the years. Early years should never be a ‘static’ moment and our lessons evolve with the children, our surroundings and the world about us.
Children are like sponges and we strongly believe that children in this age group absorb and achieve more than at any other stage in their life. It is our experience that has taught us that children learn better by ‘doing’ rather than ‘saying’. The process of learning this way is so much more fun!
Our bright open spaces encourage play and exploration through our TUMBLETOTS programme, our MONTESSORI shelves teach children independence and learning the skills of everyday life and our strong musical programmes of LITTLE USTAADS and NOTES & KEYS lays the foundation for language, social and emotional development.

A good preschool education is crucial to a child's formative years, and fosters an enthusiasm and confidence that will remain with them throughout their school life.
We aim to give children a happy, settled and structured environment in which to work and play. The desire is to develop the individuality of each child and we hope that all children will leave us ready to become confident and independent learners. The learning at The Mango Tree Pre school provides the stepping stones required for children to gain entry into the school of their choice
